Currently our Geotechnical group is recruiting for Intermediate to Senior Geotechnical Engineers to join our team in both our Edmonton, AB offices. RESPONSIBILITIES: Geotechnical engineering and/or project management role on a wide variety of transportation, resource industry, land development, terrain, and commercial/ industrial projects. Direction and training of junior geotechnical engineering staff Preparation of technical proposals and reports Opportunity to collaborate with other AMEC offices/geotechnical engineering staff on projects in Western Canadian or international locations. QUALIFICATIONS: University graduate with degree in geological, or civil (geotechnical) engineering. Currently registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. Preferably 5 years industry experience in providing practical geological/geotechnical engineering services relevant to a variety of projects (transportation, civil municipal, commercial development, resource industries, utilities, building structures). Strong written and oral communication (English) skills. Valid Driver’s License. Desire to provide excellent practical client service and a commitment to technical excellence. Knowledge of regional market, local terrain/geotechnical conditions and/or a master’s degree would be an asset. Additional experience in geo/environmental, pavement design, groundwater hydrology, or materials engineering would also be an asset.
