The Department of Industrial Engineering at Wayne State University has 10 full time faculty and about 150 students. Applicants for this position will be considered for the rank of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will have (a) an earned Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or related field; (b) a commitment to develop a significant record of scholarship and funded research by the time of the tenure decision; (c) a commitment to teaching excellence and to innovation in the continued development of our undergraduate, graduate, and distance education programs; (d)a research interest in Information Technology, Healthcare Systems Engineering, and/or Advanced Modeling and Simulation with application in both Engineering and Biomedical Systems (e) an interest in participating in the development of our research programs in Industrial Systems Engineering and Biomedical.
