We are currently seeking a Traffic Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL office. This position is responsible for traffic impact analysis, capacity analysis, operational analysis, traffic simulation modeling, access analysis/design and crash /safety studies.


Requirements
- Accredited Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline

- Five plus years of experience within the field of traffic engineering

- Professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering.

- Florida registration is required, or the ability to obtain within six months of employment

- Experience in the performance of tasks associated with traffic engineering and transportation planning projects, serving in a professional role advising clients and staff, consulting and review of work as an expert in the field of traffic engineering.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing sample required.

- Ability to work independently with general supervision Experience with traffic analysis, transportation modeling and simulation programs.

Preferred Qualifications

- PTOE certification

- Extensive experience with micro-simulation software programs CORSIM, VISSIM and Simtraffic

- Experience with HCS, SYNCRO and TRANSYT 7-F, SIDRA

- Experience with Travel Demand software
