This new engineering position supports program management, design engineering, and manufacturing through all phases of product design and launch in the development of customer products.
This position will be the Mechanical Engineering Design team authority and subject matter expert on stampings and spring processing, production, capabilities, testing, suppliers, and benchmarking. Continuous improvement initiatives in design, development and launch are expected. Other responsibilities include adherence to quality systems and design standards as well as actively supporting teammates in program management, quality engineering, tooling, purchasing, operations, patent protection, and validation.

Requirements
Requirements include a four year degree in Mechanical Engineering, five to ten years of product design and engineering experience, OEM and supplier experience in the automotive industry, proficiency in CATIA solids, plant level experience in manufacturing complex stampings and springs, and experience in feasibility and design best practices.
Preferred candidates will also have an outstanding track record of teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and engineering proficiency in the eyes of both teammate and the customer. The candidate will have the ability design creatively, the ability to apply engineering principles, an internal self-motivation and drive for success.
