Longhorn Glass Corporation produces longneck glass bottles for the Anheuser-Busch Houston Brewery. Longhorn supplies more than 60% of the Houston Brewery's requirements, or approximately 8% of Anheuser-Busch's total glass bottle needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage all processes of forming operations, including support services from machine repair and mold shop
Responsible for safety, quality, manufacturing, maintenance and sanitation targets
Plan and manage utilization of forming equipment, budget and plant personnel to optimize customer satisfaction, efficiency and plant profitability
Direct and lead administrative responsibilities of forming process including capital allocation, financial and quality reviews
Set direction and lead process improvement team initiatives
Drive achievement of goals in key performance measures
Requirements
Requirements and Competencies
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Management preferred
8+ years industrial manufacturing
5+ years managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of glass manufacturing process
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, planning, problem-solving and data collection
Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations
Superior communication, leadership and team building skills
Willing to relocate
